Entries (and the waiting list) for Pure Tasmania Wildside MTB 2010 have now closed. A small number of entries remain reserved for international or professional riders but these will only be held until the end of October and then released to riders on the wait list. Internationals/professionals should email the organizers to arrange entry. We thank all riders for the amazing response and interest and regret we are unable to meet the demand.

Conditions of Entry and Rules
Entry is open to anyone aged 18 years or over on 30 January 2010, who has the skill and fitness to safely participate.
The field will be capped at 400 to maintain the quality of the experience for all competitors. Entries will be accepted in order of receipt. Entries received after the cap is reached will be placed on a waiting list.

Categories
Individual: Mens & Womens: U23, Open, Veterans (30-39), Masters(40-49), Super Masters (50-59), Grand Masters (60+)
Teams: Individuals entering may also form a team. Teams are to comprise of 3 riders, and results will be based on the cumulative time of all three.
Single Speed: Special category for the Masochists!
Prizes and Trophies
Prizes will be awarded for every competition stage, in all categories (teams excepted). Trophies for the overall winners and place getters for the event will be awarded at the final presentations in Strahan. Random prizes will be drawn throughout the event, the winners must be in attendance to claim their prize or the prize will be re-drawn. Prize money will be awarded to the first eight men and first three women on the basisof the final results in general classification. For amounts see the Prize Money Schedule (word - 32Kb). Entries & Support
Closing date is January 8th 2010
Entries after the closing date will be at the organisers discretion. Cancellations prior to the event will incur a 15% administration fee. There will be no refunds after entries have closed. It is recommended that travel insurance be taken which will provide some protection if cancellation occurs after the closing date.
Entry Fee: $482 including GST.
Entry fees include daily lunches and a competitor kit.
Support
Competitors are encouraged to provide their own dedicated support vehicle and driver. A support crew registration package is available for $99 (including GST) per person. This includes lunch and drinks each day, a race t-shirt, and inclusion in the support crew random prize draw at the final presentation. Support crew can be registered for this package on the entry form, or at race registration. If you cannot provide your own support, please see the Transport Support and Accommodation Packages below:
Transport Support & Accommodation Packages
If you are unable to arrange your own support for the event you may opt for one of the following transport support and accommodation packages.
Note that transport support cannot be provided for competitors who book their own accommodation.
Option A 1 - 4 (please refer to the table below)
Leave your car at Strahan on Friday 29th January (venue to be notified), and catch our 1pm bus with all your gear to Cradle Mountain. Personal gear will be transported throughout the race. This option includes the shuttle to Strahan at the end of Day 3.
The camping option includes accommodation in large tents set up for you in each overnight town that are occupied on either a single (A1) or twin share (A2) basis. The deal includes camp bed, sleeping bag, pillow and a light.
The luxury option provides accommodation at Cradle Mountain Chateau for the first 2 nights, a night at the Heemskirk Motor Inn in Zeehan and the last 2 nights in a harbour view room at Strahan Village - single (A3) or twin share (A4).
Option B 1 – 4 (please refer to the table below)
Competitors will be picked up from Launceston or Launceston Airport on Friday 29th January and transported to the race start at Cradle Mt, then returned to Launceston from Strahan on Wednesday 3 February. All personal gear will be transported throughout the race. This option includes the shuttle to Strahan at the end of Day 3.
For pick-up on Friday 29th January from Launceston Airport you must arrive by 2:00pm. Return flights on Wednesday 3rd February must be booked for 1:30pm.

Confirmation of Entry
Confirmation of entry will be sent to each competitor on receipt of a complete entry.
